The Final Summit

David Ponder, the last time traveler, hasn't traveled in years and has given up hope, when the Archangel Gabriel returns to him. David must lead a quest to find the answer to save mankind. This book is a sequel to The Traveler's Gift, I had not read the first one, but no need, this one catches you up nicely. I really did like this book, I love the historical characters in today's settings. I liked the journey to find the conclusion, a reminder of strength of character we are capable of as a whole. I found it very inspirational and at times moving. Mr. Anderson's writing style is very engaging and likable. I look forward to reading more of his work.
"The Final Summit explores the historically proven principles that have guided our greatest leaders for centuries, and how we might restore these principles in our own lives...before it's too late." The Final Summit
I received this book free from BookSneeze.. in exchange for my honest review.

What's Important

I asked Mac to hold baby for a few minutes while I finished up something, I have been working on a new blog-Little island Studios, (as you can see, the cleaning has not gotten done ;-) and in the mist of my mind going a hundred miles an hour.   Mac was reading her morning devotions to both her brothers.  Just a reminder to not get too busy with "stuff" and focus on the important things. Have a very blessed day!

Things I Don't Understand

They say, the more you write the better writer you'll be, and to write the things you shouldn't write. Ok fine here we go. I have to say, there is a lot I don't understand. I don't understand how it is perfectly fine for a mother (if that's what you want to call her) to inject her 8 year old daughter with botox, or and get her bikini waxes (do 8 year olds even need them?). Like are you freaking kidding me? And how one mother in Detroit, is not aloud to have a say so in her daughters medical treatments..without her child being taken away? What have we done to our society? Where is our common sense? Have we forgotten who we are? Why do people just take the accepted "wisdom" handed out? Do we not think for ourselves? And apparently when we do...we are punished.

Only when we love people before profit, will this ever change.
